Fire Alarms, Marketing Experiments, and a Perfect Ribeye: A Day in Vienna

Today, I had only one class at the university, which lasted three hours. I woke up at 1 p.m. because I stayed up really late last night creating content for my Instagram page and working on a logo for my site. At midnight, the fire alarm went off in the dorm, and the firefighters showed up, but it turned out to be a false alarm—someone had just burned some food.

After I woke up, I made myself some bread with cream cheese and avocado, took a shower, and left the dorm at 2:20 p.m. for my class, which started at 3:00 p.m. I really enjoyed today's class—it was about marketing. The teacher had us participate in an experiment where we had to get up, open either Instagram or TikTok, and start scrolling. When we saw an ad, we had to sit back down. It was pretty interesting that the entire class sat down after a maximum of 15–20 seconds.

After class, I went for a beer with a friend and then headed back to the dorm. When I got back, I was pretty hungry, so I cooked a ribeye steak that I had in the fridge, and it turned out pretty good. I was a little worried I might repeat last night’s fire alarm incident, but I was careful not to burn the steak
