City Strolls, Gym Goals, and a Surprise Maybach Sighting: A Chill Day in Vienna

Image
Today was a pretty relaxing day. I woke up at 11 a.m. and helped my sister with her work. We had to go to a nearby shopping center to buy and carry some pumpkins for an event that involves pumpkin carving. Afterward, I went to the gym to work on the punching bag and do some cardio. Once I finished at the gym, I ate some leftover pasta from last night. After eating, I went out for a walk through the city and visited the National Library. When I arrived, there was an exhibition of military vehicles, and right next to it was a parking lot with at least eight Maybachs and even a Bentley. I saw some other really nice cars along the way and made a TikTok out of the videos I took, which you can check out at @victorinvienna. When I got back to the dorm, I watched my series and later met with my sister for a chat. Afterward, I returned to my room, took a shower, and went to bed because I was really tired, and tomorrow I need to study for university.

Powering Through: A Day of Skipped Classes, Pesto Pasta, and Marketing Magic

Today I woke up at 8:30 a.m. because I had a class that started at 9:45. I was really sleepy, but I managed to arrive on time. After that class, I had another one at 11:30, but I skipped it because it's really boring and the classroom is always hot, so I preferred to look over the PowerPoint at home. On my way back to the dorm, I stopped to do some grocery shopping and then headed straight home. When I got to my room, I made myself a sandwich and went back to bed because I was exhausted. I woke up at 4 p.m. and returned to university for a class that started at 4:45, which I really enjoy. It’s about marketing, and the teacher is great—he knows how to make his presentations interesting for the students. Afterwards, I went back home and had a chat with my sister. Then, I cooked some pasta with pesto sauce for dinner, which turned out really delicious. After eating, I did the dishes and went to bed to watch my series and relax a bit.

Steak, Study, and a Quick Sweat: A Chill Day Before Tomorrow's Grind

Image
Today I woke up at 11 a.m., ate some breakfast, and started working on some homework that was due by 11:55 p.m. My only class today started at 3 p.m., so after finishing my homework, I headed straight to university. There are only 17 people in this class, and I was lucky enough to be in the same class as my friend. We stayed at university until 5:30 p.m., even though the class normally lasts until 6. After class, I went back to the dorm, where I met with a friend who came to my room, and we had a great chat. Later, I cooked myself dinner because I was starving—a steak that turned out delicious, with some avocado on the side. Once I finished eating, I cleaned the kitchen and then went to the gym for a short workout, as I was already feeling pretty tired. After the workout, I returned to my room, took a shower, and went straight to bed because I was exhausted and have class tomorrow at 9:45 a.m.

From Classes to Prater: A Day of Uni, Freebies, and Late-Night Chores

Image
Today was a pretty full day. I woke up at 10 a.m. because I had my first class at 11:30. I packed my backpack, took a shower, ate something quickly, and headed straight to university. One thing I really like about uni is that every morning there’s always someone handing out freebies. Today, for example, there was a group giving out Spezi and another group offering a vitamin drink. After my first class, I went with my friends to eat at the uni diner, which was quite affordable and surprisingly not bad. My second class started at 3 p.m. and lasted until 6 p.m., but we had a break after an hour and a half because it’s hard to stay focused for three hours straight. At 6:30 p.m., my last class of the day began and went until 8 p.m. By then, I was completely exhausted and starving, so I went straight home for dinner. After eating, I did the dishes and went for a walk through Prater Park to take some videos, which I posted on my TikTok account (@victorinvienna). I got back home around 10 p.m....

Late Start, City Strolls, and Prepping for a Productive Week

Image
Today I woke up at 1 p.m. because I went to bed pretty late, having met a friend yesterday evening and stayed up until 3 a.m. together. When I woke up, I didn’t eat anything right away and instead started working on some homework that was due by 11:55 p.m. It took me about an hour and a half to finish it. Afterward, I went out to do some grocery shopping because my fridge was pretty empty. When I got back, I had a bowl of cereal with milk, and after eating, I washed the dishes since they had piled up a bit. Around 6 p.m., my sister called to ask if I wanted to do something together. So at 6:30, we went for a walk around the city and stopped by a church. We also strolled through a park near our dorm, which was quite nice, and I was surprised to see so many people running despite the cold weather. When I got back to the dorm, I started writing this blog post. Once I finish, I’ll head straight to bed because I have university classes tomorrow and need to be well-rested.

Lazy Day, Sushi, and Schnitzel: A Chill Evening in Prater

Today was a pretty uneventful day. I woke up at 2 p.m. because I didn’t sleep well last night. When I woke up, I wasn’t in the mood to cook, so I ordered some sushi, which was really good. After that, I tried to do some homework but quickly realized I was too tired, so I ended up watching a series instead. At 5 p.m., my sister called to ask if I wanted to go out with her and her friend for dinner. I didn’t have anything better to do, so I went with them. We all met up at 7 p.m. in the dorm lobby and headed to a nice place in Prater to eat. I had Schnitzel with potato salad, which was delicious. We had a nice chat, and afterward, we went for a walk through Prater. When I got back to the dorm, a friend messaged me to meet in the lobby for a chat. We talked about all sorts of stuff, but after about an hour, we were both tired, so we headed to our rooms and went straight to bed.

Late Nights, E-Scooters, and Chill: A Day of Fun and Friends

Image
Today, I woke up at 1:30 p.m. because I was at the club until 4 a.m. last night. After waking up, I made myself some scrambled eggs with tomatoes for breakfast, and my sister came to my room for a little chat. In the afternoon, I worked on some university homework, and once I finished, I explored the city on an e-scooter. I visited some nice places, which I’ll be posting on my TikTok (@victorinvienna), and then took the subway back home. When I returned to the dorm, I met up with a friend, and we went together to the dorm’s "partyroom," where two guys were watching a movie. We joined them and stayed until about 6 a.m., talking, having drinks, and overall, having a great time.

A Busy Day of Coffee, Shopping, and Late-Night Adventures

Image
Today, I was woken up at 10 a.m. when a friend called to ask if I wanted to grab coffee with her. I agreed, so I got out of bed, took a shower, and went to meet her. We had a great time chatting about our universities over coffee. Afterward, I met up with my sister, and we wandered around a shopping center for a bit. When I got back to the dorm, I changed clothes and went back into the city to meet some friends from university to do some clothes shopping. I didn’t find anything, but the girls I was with each found something. I hadn’t eaten anything until then, so I bought a pain au chocolat because I was literally starving. Afterward, I went back home and cooked some eggs, which turned out pretty well. While I was eating, my sister called to say that she and her friend had made broccoli soup and asked if I wanted to try some. I was curious, so I went to try it, and it was really delicious. In the evening, I met up with a friend from the dorm whom I met two weeks ago at a dorm party. We...

Busy Day: Groceries, Classes, and Falling Asleep in the Last Lesson

Image
Today, I woke up really tired at 8 a.m. because I had to meet my sister at Spar at 9 a.m. to get more groceries since I didn’t manage to get everything I needed yesterday. My first class started at 9:45 a.m. and lasted until 11:15 a.m. After that, I had another class from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. I had a break from 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., during which I went with my friends to eat at Vapiano. We also went to one of our friend's apartments to hang out during the break. She had just moved in yesterday, so we helped her throw out the cardboard boxes from her new furniture. We got back to university at 5:00 p.m., a little late for the lesson, but it was fine. During the last class, which was from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., I fell asleep because I was really tired. After class, I went straight home, took a shower, and went to bed.

A Chill Day in Vienna: Cafés, Photos, and a Solo Evening Workout

Image
Today, I woke up at 10:30 a.m. and went grocery shopping, but now I realize I forgot some things, so I’ll go back tomorrow. When I returned to the dorm, I made myself a burrito for lunch. Afterward, I went around the city to take some pictures and visit a really nice café, which I posted on my TikTok page (@victorinvienna). I had a coffee there, then wandered through the city a bit more before heading back to the dorm. When I got back at 6:30 p.m., my sister texted me asking if I wanted to go for a walk with her at 7:30 p.m. I agreed and watched my series in the meantime, but at 7 p.m., she canceled because she was too tired. So, I decided to do some ironing since all my clothes were wrinkled. I put on my headphones and went downstairs to get it done. After that, I hit the gym, and when I got back to my room, I took a shower and went straight to bed because I was really tired.

Late-Night Laundry, Missed Classes, and a Disappointing Event

Image
Last night, I didn’t go straight to bed. Instead, I realized that almost all of my clothes needed to be washed, and I had nothing to wear today. So, I went downstairs to do my laundry, which took an hour. While waiting, I watched my series, then put my clothes in the dryer, which was supposed to take about 40 minutes. After that time, I went to check, but it needed 10 more minutes. I waited again and checked, but it needed 15 more minutes. At that point, I gave up and went to bed at 5 a.m., telling myself I’d deal with it in the morning. I set an alarm for 10:30 a.m. because my first class was at 11:30. However, at 9 a.m., some electricians knocked on my door to check the sockets in my room. I barely heard them, so I didn’t respond. Thinking no one was inside, they entered, and I woke up confused. After explaining what they were doing, I just went back to sleep and let them finish. When I woke up again, I realized I was too tired to go to my first class, so I skipped it and went straig...

Goodbye Munich: A Long, Wi-Fi-Free Journey Back to Vienna

Image
Today, I woke up at 11 a.m. in Munich and went to brunch with my friends because we were all hungry. Afterward, we took a walk through the city and stopped by some friends' place to chat and relax for a bit. Later, I went to pack my things because at 6:30 p.m., my sister and I had to head to the train station to catch our train back to Vienna. The train ride was five hours long, and since there was no Wi-Fi, it ended up being pretty boring. My sister slept for an hour or two, but I couldn’t fall asleep, so I just listened to music. Finally, at 11:40 p.m., we arrived at Vienna's train station and headed to the subway to get back to our student dorm. It took 40 minutes to get to the dorm, and at 12:20 a.m., I finally got to my room, exhausted. I took a shower and went straight to bed.

Lazy Day in Munich: Brunch, Bowling, and Shisha Fun

Today, I woke up at 12 p.m. because of yesterday’s party. I skipped breakfast and went for a walk around Munich to visit some attractions. At 1:30 p.m., I met a friend for brunch, and we had a nice chat before heading to Marienplatz to browse some clothing shops. After a while, we met up with the rest of the group, and we all had a drink together. Since we were pretty tired, we headed home, where we had dinner around 6 or 7 p.m. After dinner, I took a shower and went back out into the city. We met up with the group and went to a shisha bar, then played bowling and billiards, where we had a lot of fun.

A Shopping Saga in Munich: Lost Jeans, Friends, and a Night Out

Image
Today, I woke up at 10 a.m., skipped breakfast, and went with my friend to the center of Munich to do some shopping. I needed to buy a pair of black jeans, so we went to a large fashion store. I found a nice pair, but they were a little too small, so we continued shopping at other stores to see what else we could find. After an hour of searching and finding nothing, I decided to go back to the first shop to buy the ones that were a bit tight. On the way back, I joked with my friend that it would be funny if the jeans were gone. When we arrived, my joke became reality—they were gone! I ended up buying another pair that was a little more expensive, but they were worth the money. After shopping, we went to their university, where there was a welcome event, and we grabbed something to eat before heading home. When we got home, we invited some friends over. I took a shower and got ready to meet them. Once they arrived, we had some drinks, chatted for a bit, and at 11:30 p.m., we all went to...

From Vienna to Munich: A Reunion, Police Questions, and Party Plans

Image
Today, I woke up at 10:30 a.m. and started packing because I had to catch a train to Munich at 2:30 p.m. I didn’t have time to cook breakfast, so I ordered food instead. At 1 p.m., I met with my sister, and half an hour later, we headed to the train station. The train ride was five hours long, during which I worked on the logo for my blog, as well as my Instagram and TikTok pages. Afterward, I watched my series and did some university work. At one point, the police came in and asked for IDs. They asked me questions like where I was going, where I came from, and why I was heading to Munich—questions they didn’t ask the others. When we arrived in Munich, my sister’s friend picked us up, and we went to her place so my sister could leave her things. We ate and got ready to go to a party at my friend’s new apartment. When we arrived, I was happy to see my friends since I hadn’t seen them in a while. We had some drinks and spent the rest of the evening talking about university and what we’d ...

Another long day at the University of Vienna

Image
Today, I woke up at 8:30 a.m. because I had to be in class by 9:45. I didn’t have time to eat breakfast at home, so I stopped at a bakery on my way to the university and bought a sandwich. The first class was about the power of social media and how it influences us. It ended at 11:15, and I had another class at 11:30 in a building quite far away, so I arrived late. Luckily, my friends saved me a seat next to them. The auditorium was so hot that I had to leave half an hour early because I was too sweaty to stay. When the second class finished at 1 p.m., we had a 3.5-hour break, so we went to get something to eat, and then headed to my dorm to play some table tennis. We returned to the university at 4:45 p.m. for the next class, which was my favorite of the day. It was about ads and the thinking behind them, which I found fascinating. After an hour and a half, the class ended, and we had a 15-minute break before the last class began. The final class was the most exhausting and lasted unt...

Fire Alarms, Marketing Experiments, and a Perfect Ribeye: A Day in Vienna

Image
Today, I had only one class at the university, which lasted three hours. I woke up at 1 p.m. because I stayed up really late last night creating content for my Instagram page and working on a logo for my site. At midnight, the fire alarm went off in the dorm, and the firefighters showed up, but it turned out to be a false alarm—someone had just burned some food. After I woke up, I made myself some bread with cream cheese and avocado, took a shower, and left the dorm at 2:20 p.m. for my class, which started at 3:00 p.m. I really enjoyed today's class—it was about marketing. The teacher had us participate in an experiment where we had to get up, open either Instagram or TikTok, and start scrolling. When we saw an ad, we had to sit back down. It was pretty interesting that the entire class sat down after a maximum of 15–20 seconds. After class, I went for a beer with a friend and then headed back to the dorm. When I got back, I was pretty hungry, so I cooked a ribeye steak that I had ...

The Most Exhausting Day Yet: University Life in Full Swing

Image
Today was the most exhausting day since I arrived in Vienna. I woke up at 10 am and got ready for university. I arrived at 11:10 am, stopping at a bakery on the way for a chocolate croissant for breakfast. Once there, I met up with my friends, and we headed to our first class, which started at 11:30. The class ended at 1 pm, and we decided to grab lunch at EBI, an 'all you can eat' sushi and Japanese restaurant. After lunch, we took a stroll through Stephansplatz before returning to university for our second class, which started at 3 pm. That class lasted three hours, with a 10-minute break halfway through. Afterwards, we had a 30-minute break before the last class of the day, from 6:30 to 8 pm By then, we were all so tired that it was hard to focus, even though the topic, the history of media, was interesting. Once we wrapped up for the day, my friends and I headed to the subway. Just as I got there, my sister messaged me asking for something from McDonald's, so I made a d...

From Dorm Hangouts to University Beginnings

Image
Today was packed with activities. I woke up at 11 a.m., cleaned my room, and got everything organized. At noon, I met a friend from the dorm, and we went out for some delicious Döner. Afterward, we took a short walk before heading back. Once I was back at the dorm, I took a quick nap for an hour and then caught up with an old classmate. We decided to hang out at my dorm for a bit, chatting in my room before heading to another dorm nearby to play 8-ball. Honestly, the pool table there was pretty worn out, and the cues were in bad shape, but we still had a great time. After playing, we grabbed dinner at a nearby McDonald's. Once we finished eating, I returned to the dorm, and he went home. Tomorrow, I finally start university! My first class is at 11:30 a.m., and I’m really excited to see how it will go.

Birthday Bash, Beer Pong, and a Late-Night Snack

Image
Today, I woke up at 10 a.m. and spent the morning watching my series until around 2 p.m. After that, I cooked eggs for lunch and finally did my laundry, which had been piling up for a week. Once my clothes were washed and dried, I took a shower and got ready for a birthday party at another student dorm. The party was a blast—I played beer pong and had a great chance to socialize and make some new friends. After the party, my sister, her friend, and I waited about 15 minutes for the subway, and we finally made it home around 2 a.m. I wanted to order some food, but everything was closed, so I ended up making a sandwich with cream cheese and salami while finishing my show.

New Friends, Free Drinks, and DJ Dreams: My Dorm Adventure

Image
Today, I woke up at 1 p.m. and made myself scrambled eggs with mozzarella and tomatoes, which turned out really great. At 3 p.m., I joined a dorm get-together for new residents to get to know each other. I made a few friends that I really clicked with. We also played a game that involved exploring the dorm, but since I knew the place pretty well, my team ended up winning. At 7 p.m., we had a 'Welcome Party,' where I met even more people that I really liked. We had drinks together, and by 11 p.m., I got to be the DJ for a while, which was a lot of fun. I think it’s awesome that all these dorm events are completely free, thanks to the dorm’s budget, and everyone is welcome to join.

From Stove Struggles to Shopping Sprees: Vienna Vibes

Image
Today, I woke up at noon feeling a bit tired and headed to the store to buy some salmon because a friend was coming over at 1 p.m. to cook lunch. We made salmon with mashed potatoes, but it took us about two hours to finish because the stove kept turning off, so we had to take breaks while waiting for it to turn back on. After we finally ate, we chatted for a bit and then went to the nearest Lidl. On the way, we passed by the 'Kaiser Wiesn,' which is like Austria's version of Oktoberfest. We thought about going in, but the entry was €20, and we still needed to buy things from Lidl, so we decided to skip it. After shopping, we went our separate ways. I headed to Douglas to buy a lip gloss as a birthday gift for a friend who's having a party this Saturday. Douglas was packed today because there was an event with a 25% discount on a lot of items. It felt like a nightclub in there, but I managed to find the lip gloss, and after 15 minutes in line, I finally paid for it. The...

Groceries, Negronis, and Great Company: A Cozy Day in Vienna

Image
Today, I slept in until 11 a.m., then did some cleaning around my room. At 1 p.m., I went to the university diner with my sister, where I had a Schnitzel with baked potatoes and jam, and it tasted amazing. Right after lunch, I went grocery shopping at Spar and got everything I needed. At 5 p.m., I met a guy from my university who’s also from my home country. We sat down at a terrace, had a Negroni, and talked about our lives. After a couple of hours, I talked to an old friend from high school to meet, and we had a great catch-up over drinks until 9 p.m. at a place called Sky bar Steffl When I got back to my student dorm, I was starving, so I made myself dinner—some chicken nuggets in the air fryer with French fries and ketchup on the side.

Reception Duty to University Socials: A Day in the Life

Image
Today, I woke up at 7 a.m. to head to work at the reception, where I worked from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. I handled a lot of check-ins and other tasks, like preparing rooms for new guests and setting up a snack table for the arrivals. After work, I was exhausted, so I took a nap for an hour and a half. By 5 p.m., I started getting ready for university because we had a PowerPoint presentation in one of the classrooms, covering everything we needed to know about the campus. After the presentation, we all gathered in the university's outdoor space, where we enjoyed wine, beer, and a cheese platter. We drank, ate, and socialized, which made for a really nice evening in my opinion.
